UN Global Service Center Amateur Radio Club 4U1GSC

Special callsign 4U75B to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the United Nations.

The callsign will be used by 4U1GSC Amateur Radio Club, Brindisi between October 8 and December 31, 2020.

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945, after the devastation of the Second World War, with a central mission: the maintenance of international peace and security. The UN does this by working to prevent conflict; help parties in conflict to make peace; peace-keeping; and creating the conditions to allow peace to be maintained and flourished. These activities often overlap and must reinforce each other to be effective. The UN Security Council has the primary responsibility for international peace and security. The General Assembly and the Secretary General play important and complementary roles, along with other UN bodies and offices, one of which is the UN Global Service Center in Brindisi, southern Italy.

73 and thank you for calling 4U75B.
